More Than Softball

While our goal is to seek excellence in all we do on the field and encourage our players to want to play at a higher level in high school and college, we are focused on “the total Athlete”.  We want to help mentor these young ladies to be future leaders in their personal  and professional lives and in their communities.  To accomplish this we focus on numerous activities outside of softball where we can grow and foster our team values and build team culture and relationships.  There is an emphasis on “goal setting” both on and off the field each semester. Grades are important and grade checks happen at the conclusion of each semester.

The fun this team has is evident in the sample of pictures here.  Birthday parties, Pizza and Batting practice at “Coach A’s house, Mountain Hikes and frequent trips to watch college softball together are just a few examples.

The team recently volunteered at Crisis Assistance Ministries and sorted clothing and items for their store. Giving back to the community is a top priority for SC United. Volunteering allows the team to not only serve a tremendous need in the community, it also provides our girls important bonding time off the field.
